Okay, okay — one HP. I have one HP. Nobody breathe.
He's behind the wall. Chat, I can literally hear him reloading.
Wait. Wait. Did that just — no way that just happened.
Clip it. Somebody clip that right now, that's going on the channel.

How it works

How to transcribe a Twitch clip.

Any public Twitch clip — paste the link and get clean text back.

Turn a Twitch clip into text

Open the clip on Twitch, choose Share → Copy Link (or copy the URL from your address bar), and paste it at the top of this page. TranscriptMagic returns the full transcript as clean text you can copy, download, translate, or repurpose. Both clips.twitch.tv/… and twitch.tv/channel/clip/… links work — no download or extension required.

Clips without captions are transcribed with AI

Most Twitch clips don’t carry captions. When a clip has them, we use them; when it doesn’t, we run AI speech-to-text on the clip’s audio automatically. Either way it’s 1 credit per clip, and if no speech can be found you get a clear “no transcript” result and aren’t charged.

Clips only — not VODs or live streams

This tool works on Twitch clips. Full past broadcasts (VODs) and live streams aren’t supported. If the moment you need is in a past broadcast, create a clip of it on Twitch first, then paste the clip link here.

FAQ

Twitch clip questions answered.

How do I get a transcript of a Twitch clip?
Open the clip on Twitch, choose Share → Copy Link, paste it into the box on this page, and click Transcribe. You get the full text back as soon as it’s ready — usually within seconds for a short clip.
Does it work if the clip has no captions?
Yes. Most Twitch clips have no captions, so when there aren’t any we transcribe the clip’s audio with AI automatically. You don’t need to do anything different, and it’s still 1 credit per clip.
Which Twitch links work?
Clip links in either format: clips.twitch.tv/{clip} or twitch.tv/{channel}/clip/{clip}. Channel pages, VOD links (twitch.tv/videos/…), and live stream links won’t work.
Can I transcribe a full Twitch VOD or live stream?
Not right now — this tool is for clips only. If the part you need is in a past broadcast, create a clip of that moment on Twitch, then paste the clip link here.
Is the Twitch clip transcript generator free?
Your first clips are free, no signup or credit card required. After that each clip is 1 credit, and paid plans start at a few dollars a month. See the credits page for pricing.
How accurate are Twitch clip transcripts?
Clear speech transcribes very well. Loud game audio, music, or several people talking over each other on voice chat can reduce accuracy on those moments, so give caption text a quick read before you publish.
Can I use it to caption clips for TikTok or YouTube Shorts?
Yes — that’s one of the most common uses. The transcript is plain text without per-word timing, so paste it into your editor’s caption tool or use it to fix auto-captions instead of typing every line by ear. You can also translate it for other languages.
Is there an API or MCP server for Twitch clips?
Yes — the Twitch Transcript API gives you the same backend over REST for clip pipelines, and the Twitch MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor transcribe clips directly inside a chat.
