What platforms are supported?
We currently support YouTube (including Shorts), TikTok, Instagram (Reels and video posts), and Facebook. Just paste any video URL from these platforms.
How accurate are the transcripts?
Accuracy depends on the audio quality of the original video. Clear speech with minimal background noise produces the best results. Most videos achieve 90%+ accuracy.
Do transcripts include timestamps?
Yes! Every transcript includes precise timestamps. You can copy text with or without timestamps, or download as SRT, TXT, or PDF with full timing information.

How does AI Summary work?
AI Summary generates a 2-3 sentence overview of the video content, helping you quickly understand what the video is about without watching it.

What do the extensions do?
Our Chrome extensions add a "Transcript" button directly to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook pages. One click gives you the transcript without leaving the site.
Are the extensions free?
Yes, all extensions are free to install. They use the same credits as the web app.
Do extensions work on all browsers?
Currently, our extensions are available for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, etc.).
Privacy & Legal
Is it legal to transcribe videos?
Transcribing videos for personal use, accessibility, or content analysis is generally acceptable. Always respect copyright and give credit to original creators when sharing content.
Do you store my transcripts?
No, we don't store your transcripts. They're generated on-demand and only exist in your browser session.
What data do you collect?

Troubleshooting
Why does my transcript have errors?
Transcript accuracy depends on audio quality, speaker clarity, and background noise. Videos with clear speech and minimal music produce the best results. Heavy accents, fast speech, or overlapping speakers can reduce accuracy.
The transcript is empty or very short - why?
This usually happens when a video has no speech (only music), the audio is too quiet, or the video has restricted access. Try with a different video to verify the tool is working properly.
Why can't I transcribe a specific video?
Some videos have restricted access (private, age-gated, or region-locked). Additionally, videos with copyright claims may have limited availability. If a video is publicly viewable in your browser, it should work with our tool.
The timestamps seem off - how can I fix this?
Timestamps are synced to the original video. If they appear off, the video may have intro segments that weren't included or there might be slight variations in how different players report timing. The relative timing between captions remains accurate.
Advanced Usage
Can I transcribe videos in bulk?
Our Pro plan includes batch processing for transcribing multiple videos. This is ideal for content creators, researchers, and agencies who need to process large amounts of content.
How do I add transcripts to my own videos?
Download the SRT file and import it into your video editor (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut). Most editors have a "Import Subtitles" or "Import Captions" option. The timestamps will automatically sync with your video.
Can I use the AI chat to ask questions about multiple videos?
Currently, AI chat works with one transcript at a time. For research across multiple videos, we recommend transcribing each video separately and combining the text in your own document for analysis.
What's the best format for SEO purposes?
For adding transcripts to your website for SEO, use the plain text format without timestamps. Search engines can read and index this text, improving your content's discoverability for relevant keywords.
